Role Overview:

As the Milan Growth Launcher, you will be responsible for building Onboard’s first community of activated and passionate creators in the city. You will focus on engaging the Milan Creators to drive Onboard’s adoption within this key demographic. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, event marketing expertise, and the ability to forge strong relationships with creators, influencers, and local communities.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

The goal for this role is to launch and expand Onboard’s reach within the Italian Creator Community, with a strong focus on those based in Milan. You will drive activations and other engagement strategies that lead to an increase in sign-ups, activations, and transactions in Milan, Italy.

Contract & Compensation

This is a freelance/contract position with a performance-based compensation structure:

• You will earn a base payment once you generate 200 MQLs (Marketing Qualified Leads) and activate 50% through a high-tough activation process.
• After reaching this milestone, you will be paid per activated user who has a monthly transaction volume of at least $300.

What you will do:
Community Building & Partnerships

• Identify and onboard Italian Creators, particularly in Milan, who will champion Onboard within their communities.
• Establish partnerships with co-working spaces, creator hubs, local businesses, and influencers that cater to Italian creator communities in Milan.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to foster long-term engagement.

Event Marketing & Activation

• Plan, organise, and execute high-impact events that engage and onboard creators in Milan.
• Develop unique event formats that resonate with the creator audience (e.g., networking nights, workshops, pop-ups).
• Leverage offline activations to drive word-of-mouth adoption of Onboard.

Growth & User Acquisition

• Design and execute local marketing campaigns targeting Italian Creator communities in Milan.
• Oversee referral programs and ambassador initiatives to accelerate adoption among Italian Creators
• Track key performance metrics and iterate on strategies to optimise results.

Market Insights & Competitor Analysis

• Conduct market research to understand the financial needs, pain points, and behaviours of the creators in Italian.
• Keep a pulse on industry trends and competitor activity to refine Onboard’s growth playbook.
• Provide regular feedback to the product and marketing teams to enhance our offerings.

You will be a perfect fit if you have:

• 2+ years of experience in talent management, community building, growth marketing, event marketing, or a related role.
• Proven experience launching and scaling a brand, product, or community in a new market.
• Deep understanding of the Italian creative landscape in Milan.
• Strong personal network within the creator and influencer community in Milan.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and nurture relationships.
• Ability to execute quickly, adapt strategies, and work independently in a fast-moving environment.
