About the role:

This role drives excellence in end-to-end transport logistics for Bazaar. You'll be expected to bring in industry best practices within the scope of Transport Ops and fleet management. You'll be ensuring vendor performance overall with special attention to safety and compliance. As a manager you'll be expected to have stellar stakeholder management, lead the teams effectively and utilize data to prioritize project management.

Job responsibilities:

• Monitor daily transportation activities, ensuring adherence to schedules, service standards, and quality targets.
• Address real-time transportation challenges, making quick decisions to resolve issues and maintain delivery timelines.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of vehicles.
• Manage vehicle onboarding and replacement, based on budget considerations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, including safety standards, licensing, permits, and environmental regulations.
• Develop and implement safety training programs for drivers, promoting safe driving practices and reducing accidents. Maintain accurate records of driver certifications, vehicle inspections, and compliance documentation.
• Lead and manage a team of drivers, dispatchers, and administrative staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Ensure regular feedbacks, goal setting and employee engagement.
• Monitor and control transportation-related costs, including fuel, repairs, and labor expenses. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements through route optimization and process enhancements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, partners, customers, regulatory agencies, and local authorities.
• Collect and analyze transportation-related data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for operational enhancements.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, outlining key performance metrics, challenges, and strategic recommendations.

Qualification:

• At least 5 years of experience (Logistics and Operational companies are preferred)
• Relevant bachelor's or master's degree
• Effective communication & management skills
